We currently invite applications for a position as

PhD Student (f/m): Attosecond transient absorption with miniature beamlines

The focus of the position is the development of a novel method in attosecond spectroscopy. The experimental methods include the generation of UV-VUV radiation by intense light-matter interaction with tailored waveforms. The research will contribute to the understanding of the temporal evolution of quantum systems on the natural timescale of electrons. Samples under scrutiny are thin films, crystals, nano-materials and two-dimensional materials such as graphene. The spectroscopic methods will require a detailed understanding of quantum optics with attosecond light pulses.

Sequence
